I recently replaced a headliner that was foam-backed. I used an aerosol product made by permatex, but unfortunately it did not hold under high heat conditions. What product will work best for this foam material without falling down? Also should I have to remove the old glue before using the new product?

The only adhesive that will hold a headliner up is a "high heat" resistant adhesive; it gets hot in the cabin of a car or truck in the summer time. The high heat resistant adhesives cost more, but they will do the job. The adhesive you used was not meant to hold a headliner in an automobile, it's for tacking things together temporarily. We offer maybe the best aerosol adhesive on the market for install headliners in vehicles; 3M Advanced headiner adhesive, this will hold a headliner permanently when applied correctly.

Very thorough, excellent questions and answers, I will get professional estimates, weigh the cost of do it myself, time, etc. , make my decision if I want to accept the challenge. If I accomplish said task, I will consider future projects for side income.
