I have 1987 740 Volvo with a sunroof, is it easy to remove the board to replace the headliner?
I have 1987 740 Volvo with a sunroof, is it easy to remove the board to replace the headliner or is it better to leave it in the car.
There is nothing easy about headliners in Volvos, they are like Jags or BMWs, but it would be according to whether you are going replace the sunroof cover material or not. If replacing the sunroof cover material, the headliner board will have to be removed from the 1987 Volvo. If not replacing the cover, it may be better to try to recover the headliner in the car. This will be a lot less of a headache and I believe it may save a time as well. Replacing a headliner inside of the car instead of removing the headliner board is harder on your body (working over your head is tough); but it makes the job go faster.
